An unrivalled level of safety Based on MARECHAL® technology, the DECONTACTOR plug socket-outlet enables you to connect and disconnect loads of up to 250 A/110 kW, without the addition of a pilot wire or associated switch, quickly and safely. So there’s no need for qualified personnel.
You can connect and disconnect your machines in a matter of seconds:

  • Minimise downtime and production stoppages
  • Make maintenance operations easier
  • And cut your costs

Guaranteed compliance of your electrical installations DECONTACTOR meets all your operating constraints and complies with standards and regulations. Installed close to a motor or machine, it ensures the safety of operators against accidental start-up of electrical machines by performing the following functions:

  • Isolation: separation of contacts
  • Maintenance disconnection: visible disconnection and load disconnection
  • Emergency disconnection: load disconnection
  • Lockout: for your Lockout Tagout procedures

Disconnect your installation quickly and
safely before any work is carried out

DECONTACTOR PLUG SOCKET-OUTLET WITH INTEGRATED SWITCH

CLASSIC PLUG SOCKET-OUTLET – IEC/ EN 60 309 – 2 industrial socket with switch

63 A product (same scale)

Designed for maximum electrical safety:
the integrated switch lets you switch off the power on load*

A simple push of the button cuts the current and prevents any risk of electric shock. The plug is then de-energised. The DECONTACTOR allows you to comply with installation regulations without adding a control circuit or switch upstream.

BREAKING POWER

Exceptional connection quality:
end contact with silver-nickel cap

MARECHAL® DECONTACTOR‘s are all fitted with end contacts with silver-nickel caps. They ensure exceptional connection and disconnection quality under load.
Silver, even oxidised, is an excellent electrical conductor. Conductivity is optimal even in the presence of vibrations and temperature variations, thanks to the pressure exerted by the springs on the caps. MARECHAL® contact uses a crimped braid with a spring to ensure superior performance and tolerances to pin and socket contacts. The flexibility of the braid ensures that the base contact cap is always perfectly aligned with the plug contact cap. MARECHAL® contacts all feature a surface treatment offering better corrosion resistance than copper or brass.

More effective than an automatic terminal block:
spring-loaded terminals

Loose terminals (and the resulting overheating) are one of the main causes of failure in electrical installations. It is caused by various factors:

  • Vibrations inherent to industrial installations
  • Thermal cycles
  • Settling of conductors
  • Copper creep

MARECHAL® contacts are fitted with “spring loaded” terminals. The wire clamp is split and circled by an elastic ring. This means that a constant clamping force can be maintained even in the presence of the risk factors listed above. The conductor is permanently and perfectly connected to the contact terminal, which avoids tightening operations.

Decrease in production downtime.

Fewer and simpler maintenance operations.

Ability to withstand overloads
up to 8 times the rated current

Discover how the DECONTACTOR minimises overheating and optimises the energy efficiency of an installation, resulting in lower power consumption.

OVERHEATING

COMPARATIVE OVERHEATING CURVE

  • Due to their low resistance, DECONTACTOR‘s have a long time constant: they reach their equilibrium temperature slowly and can therefore absorb transient overcurrents without overheating.
  • In the event of an overload, standard IEC 60309-2 plug socket-outlets will very quickly reach a temperature well beyond their capacity.

Optimum user protection:
safety disk

The sockets are fitted with a locked safety disc which prevents access to live contacts with a finger (IP2X/IPXXB) or with a tool ≥ 1 mm in diameter (IP4X/IPXXD). This disc can only be unlocked using a compatible plug, preventing any risk of electric shock.

Enclosures made from technical materials

MARECHAL® equipment uses glass-fibre reinforced polymer (GRP) or metal casings, depending on the model. This choice of material gives the socket-outlet excellent mechanical performance and contributes to its longer lifespan.

ROBUSTNESS

Fully sealed, automatic, no ring to turn

The Protection Index (IP) assesses a product’s resistance to the intrusion of solid and liquid matter.
Sealed to IP66/IP67/IP69 standards, MARECHAL® equipment can be used in the most demanding environments and withstands frequent washing in production areas, such as high-pressure and high-temperature cleaning.

SEALING

Improved control:
auxiliary and pilot contacts

The DECONTACTOR can be fitted with auxiliary contacts for transmission of low currents

AUXILIARY AND PILOT CONTACTS

Simplified Lockout Tagout procedures: lockout

Lockout prevents unintentional power supply or use of equipment during maintenance. The DECONTACTOR can be used as part of Lockout Tagout procedures (LOTO). Close to your machines or electric motors, lockout ensures the protection of your employees, without the intervention of a qualified electrician. MARECHAL ELECTRIC offers you a simple and quick locking system, which can be used on connected or disconnected plug socket-outlets.

Lockout

24 possibilities for voltage/frequency fool-proofing

There are 17 different voltages in the low-voltage field, and several of them can coexist on the same industrial site. To these must be added different frequencies or the increasingly frequent need for direct current (production or storage of alternative energy, solar panels, wind turbines, etc.).

Our 24 fool-proofing positions allow you to create unique combinations of polarities, voltages and frequencies. As a result, only sockets and connectors designed with the same coding can be connected together.

Example of coding

Installation economy:
Dual voltage

MARECHAL®‘s unique fool-proofing system also enables plug socket-outlets to offer a “dual voltage” system. In fact, a single plug socket-outlet, for example 3P+N+E, offering 220/250 V AC and 380/440 V A at 50 Hz, can safely supply 4 plugs with the same coding, but different polarities and/or voltages:

  • One 3P+N+E plug (four-pole) at 400 V AC, 50 Hz
  • One 3P+E three-phase plug at 400 V AC, 50 Hz
  • A 2P+E two-phase plug at 400 V AC, 50 Hz
  • A single-phase 1P+N+E plug at 230 V AC, 50 Hz

Having two voltages delivered by the same socket significantly reduces the number of sockets installed and saves money.
